Problems with a clear boundary, that one person can take from idea to working software in weeks rather than quarters. Typically a specific process or document flow where an AI capability does the heavy lifting and the rest is integration with what you already have.

If the problem can be described on a single page and tested with real data from your business, it probably fits. If you are not sure, that is what the first conversation is for.

Anything that needs a team behind it for the long term. A full customer-service assistant, a new product line, a platform other teams will build on: I will gladly help you scope those and say who should build them, but I will not pretend that one person can carry them.

Being clear about that boundary is part of the offer. It is how you know that what I do take on will get finished.

• A working first version early, tested with the people who will use it, then iteration until it does the job.
• Everything runs in your environment and is handed over with documentation, so your team can maintain and extend it.

Building is the part of the work I have never stopped doing. It is also what keeps my advice as a fractional Director of AI grounded in what actually works.
